70, died June 30, 2020.

Clare was born in Somerville to the late parents Michael and Theresa Obszanski. She was a life-long resident of Raritan. Clare was a 1972 graduate of Trenton State College. Clare worked for the State of New Jersey Child Services in various positions in Plainfield, Perth Amboy, and Trenton for approximately 40 years, retiring in 2008. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Raritan. Clare was a member of the Raritan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Plainfield Tennis Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching tennis, especially the U.S. Open in New York. Clare will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her brother Michael Obszanski Jr.

Surviving are her sisters Teresa Gambino and Jean Creaven, one nephew Nicholas Gambino and his wife Alyssa, and one great niece Abby.

A private funeral mass will be at St. Joseph RC Church, Raritan. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Somerville. Visitation will be private at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, Somerville.
