89, died May 30, 2018.

George was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ and formerly of Union and Newark before moving to Bridgewater in 1994. He was employed as a stationary engineer at Whippany Paper Mill for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during World War II. George was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Raritan. In his spare time he enjoyed, watching the horses at Monmouth Race Track, taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City and just spending time taking long walks. Geoge will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Mary Rose who passed away in 2013and a son Peter and a brother Jack Murray.

Surviving are his children, daughters Susan Rennie, MaryBeth Weingartner and Angela Kelly, a son John Rennie and his wife Linda, two brothers Jim and Bob Murray, two sister Dorothy Murray and Joan Velard, seven grandchildren, Michele, Brittany, Maria, Suzanne, John , Ryan and Brandi, three great grandchildren Charlie, Sophia and Peter.

Prayers will be said 8:30am Monday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville, followed by a 9:30am mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 16 East Somerset St. Raritan. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery in Morristown.

Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
