Tom was born in Somerville and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Helen McDonough and Terrence Fleming. He was a self employed talented carpenter for over fifty years. He attended Rider University in Lawrence Township. Tom was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bridgewater and the Somerville High School Wrestling program. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed being outdoors playing golf. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is predeceased by his sister Patricia LaPatta in 2011and a brother James Fleming in 2014.
Surviving are his nieces Dawn Peppe, Michele Stiglitz, Denise Ulicny, Janette Simo, sister-in-law Patricia Fleming and his nephew Robert Cecchini.
Prayerswill be said 10:30am Friday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville followed by 11:30am mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave, Somerville. Private interment at Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday at the funeral home.
