91, passed away peacefully, in the company of her son and daughter-in-law on Monday, April 3, 2017, at The Health Center at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater, NJ.
Born in Ningbo, China, she met and became close with the family of medical missionaries with whom she maintained contact until her death. After emigrating to the United States in August 1962, she resided in White Plains, NY where she worked as a medical technologist at St. Agnes Hospital and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church there.Seventeen years ago, she moved to Arbor Glen and became an active member of its community by volunteering and assisting with many functions. She was honored to be chosen as one of four Living Treasures in 2005. Maintaining her religious devotion, she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Somerville driving there every Sunday until she voluntarily relinquished her car. Afterwards, she remained true to her faith by attending the monthly ecumenical service at Arbor Glen until the final weeks of her life.
Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Andrew, and his wife, Heidi; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews both in the US and China.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 16 at 3 PM at Arbor Glen, 100 Monroe Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Arrangements are by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
