Artie was born in New York and formerly of Ellenville since 1950 before moving to Los Angeles, California in 2012. He graduated from CCNY in 1950 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Artie was self-employed as a civil engineer in Circleville, NY for 60 years retiring in 2005. Artie was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and served as second lieutenant in the Air Force. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Temple Ezrath in Ellenville, NY. In his early years, he coached the Ellenville, NY Little League. In his spare time, Artie enjoyed swimming, traveling, golfing, and was a Chicago Cubs baseball fan. Artie will be sadly missed by all.

Artie is predeceased by his four brothers.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years Shirley, three sons David and his wife Rosalind Heiko, Todd and his wife Carol Levine, Craig and his wife Cathy Seidman, six grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be 10am Friday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Burial service will follow at 1:30pm at Ezrath Israel Cemetery in Ellenville, NY.
