William M. Mener

80, died June 18, 2017.

William was born in Brooklyn, NY and formerly of Massapequa, NY before moving to Somerville in 1971. He was employed at Western Electric as an engineer/draftsman and supervisor for 40 years, retiring in 1986. William was a member of the Ziggy's fishing club and the AT&T Retirement group. He was a former Somerville Little League Coach. In his spare time, William enjoyed gardening and reading and was an avid N.Y. Giants and Mets fan. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his son Daniel who passed away in 2015 and two brothers Edward and Jack.

Surviving are his loving wife Patricia, a son William Mener and his wife Donna, three grandchildren Skyler Mener, Patrick Healey, and Brooke Grasso, and one great grandson Cooper Grasso.

Prayers will be said 8:30am Friday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 No. Gaston Ave. Somerville, followed by a 9:30am mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.

Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm Thursday at the funeral home.
