Beloved Aunt Menie, 92, passed away August 22, 2017.

Aunt Menie was born in Raritan and was a life-long resident. She was employed at American Velour Mills in Bound Brook for 25 years. Aunt Menie also worked for Jelco and Carrier clinic at the snack shop. She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Raritan where she served on the Rosary Altar Society. Aunt Menie was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Raritan.

After her mother passed away, Aunt Menie became the center of the family. Aunt Menie was known for having a loving heart and generous spirit. If anyone else needed help or a favor, Aunt Menie was always the person they went to because she was most willing to help. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading. Aunt Menie will be sadly missed by all.

She is predeceased by her four brothers Connie, Rocco, Daniel and Thomas Scarpone and two sisters Catherine Niles and Violet Nikas.

Surviving are a nephew Nikolas Nikas, a niece Deborah Scarpone, and many great nieces and nephews, godchildren and friends.

Prayer will be said 10:30am Tuesday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 No. Gaston Ave. Somerville followed by a 11:30am Mass at St. Ann, Raritan. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Somerville.
