Barbara Lee Quick, 90 died September 21, 2017 at her Hillsborough Farm.

She was born in Princeton, NJ on July 28, 1927 to her late parents Sarah and Gilbert Runyon.
Barbara grew up in Belle Mead and spent her youth working on her family farm. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1945. She married her late husband J. Preston Quick Jr. and moved to Hillsborough to help run his family farm. She eventually farmed with her sons. A previous member of Harlingen Reformed Church, she became a congregant of South Branch Reformed Church, a member for over 50 years. Barbara was a member of the Flying Club at Solberg Airport where she piloted single and twin engine planes. She was very active in the Neshanic Garden Club and her Girls Club, along with being a 4-H Leader in the New Centre Dairy Club, a Grange member, a Harvest Home participant, and a Republican Club member.She enjoyed downhill skiing, vacationing in Europe, traveling in her RV across the USA, gardening and collecting antiques. Most importantly, she always offered to help anyone in need, whether it was a relative, friend or neighbor, always putting others ahead of herself. All will sadly miss her.

Predeceased by her late husband J. Preston Quick Jr. in 1996, and by her brother, Herbert Runyon, and sisters, Virginia Thomas and Nancy Bahrenburg, she is survived by her children Donald (Kathryn) Quick of Manville, Barrett (Sarah) Quick and Gilbert Quick of Hillsborough and Barbara (Dennis) White of Cranbury, grandchildren Mark Ondov, Scott Ondov, Meredith Quick, Preston Quick, Virginia Quick, Jarrett Quick, Barrie Foley, Jacob Quick and Dennis White, along with four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday at the South Branch Reformed Church, 870 River Road, Hillsborough with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Interment will follow at the South Branch Reformed Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
