Constance M. Coffin

69, died December 18, 2017.

Connie was born in Somerville, raised in Branchburg for many years and formerly of Long Beach Island before moving to Lambertville in 2012. She graduated from Rider College with a BA in 1970. She earned her Masters degree in education from Marygrove College in 2001. She was employed as a social studies teacher at Southern Regional Middle School for over 32 years, retiring in 2005. Connie was currently substituting part time, teaching at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington. She had been a member of the United Reformed Church in Somerville. Connie was unfailingly devoted to her family and friends, remembered by all who knew her for her compassion and true selflessness. She always put others first often sacrificing much for another. She was an extremely gifted artist whose style of elegance, wit and fun were evident to all who knew her. Devoted daughter, beloved sister and aunt, her love enriched us all and she will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her brother Thomas Coffin, sister Devon Newman and Betsy Coffin, nieces Christine and Jennifer Newman and nephew Bryan Young.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be held at South Branch Reformed Church Cemetary. Arrangements by the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
