Kirsten Moore Bryant passed away peacefully at Germantown Medical Center, Memphis Tennessee on August 9, 2019.

Kirsten was born on July 15, 1949 in Somerville NJ the second daughter of Frederick H Moore Jr. and Elma S Moore.

Kirsten attended Somerville public schools and went on to attend Rutgers University New Brunswick and later the University of Tennessee, Memphis

Starting her career at Ethicon as a Clinical Research Technician operating on animals for clinical trials. After holding this position for several years she went on to work for Federal Express in Somerset NJ, as a Data Analyst. She moved to Columbia Maryland and onto Memphis as an IT Manager where she worked until her retirement.

Kirsten became interested in Art at Somerville High, after several classes with Mr Stuart Schenk who became her Mentor. She was also enjoyed sewing and embroidery and worked for numerous Somerville Merchants performing alterations and embroidery services during her high school years. Also working at local Day Camps as an Art Teacher during the Summer. She would also collect animal remains, bury them in the yard and dig them up the next year and reassemble them and mount them on wooden blocks.

Kirsten was very talented and there was nothing she wouldn’t try. Building a large computer network in her study. Where she owned and operated a Publishing Company; Onyx Publishing’s. She published several books and was in the process of publishing a book of short stories about her childhood, at the time of her death.
Kirky as she was known loved the water, loved the beach. Whenever she was home she and her sisters would travel along the Eastern Shore stopping to sample each of the beaches from Lewes Delaware to Mytle Beach. Always carting her Art Supplies with her, just in case.

She welcomed Christ into her life at an early age at St Paul Baptist Church, Somerville. . After moving to Memphis she joined New Salem Missionary Church Teaching Sunday School Classes and Preforming Seamtress Services for the congregation and missionaries as well as singing in the church choir.

While in the Central Jersey area she attended 1st Baptist Church, South Bound Brook, NJ under the leadership of Rev Iley E. Bright.

Kirsten is predeceased by her youngest son Paul Louis Bryant Jr., her parents Frederick H Moore Jr., and Elma Moore.

Kirsten leaves behind her oldest son Michael, her sisters Karen Moore Jones and Kathryn Moore. Her Nieces: Robyne Jones, Suzyne Jones Hall, Billie Kaye Jones and Davilynn Jones Evans and Evan Moore. In addition many cousins family and friends.

Kirky is finally on her way home to rest in the arms of Jesus.

Funeral services will be 10am Friday, August 23, 2019 beginning with a visitation at 9am at the First Baptist Church, 43 Franklin Street, South Bound Brook. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. To send condolences, visit
