Angelo was born in Yonkers, New York and was a lifelong resident of Raritan. He was employed as a firefighter at the VA Depot in Hillsborough for over 25 years, retiring in 1982. He also owned the bar the Hutch for over 35 years, retiring in 2017. Angelo was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Ann’s RC Church in Raritan and the Thomas J. Kavanaugh VFW Post 2290 in Manville. In his spare time, Angelo enjoyed fishing, making his own wine, and gardening. Angelo was an avid golfer and was a caddy at Raritan Valley Country Club. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Ruth “Shorty” Godino who passed away in 2017.

Surviving are his son Joseph Godino, daughters Lori Kulik and husband Rich and Lisa Godino, sister Amelia Walley, five grandchildren Krystal, Amanda, Stephanie, Richard, and Natalie, and four great grandchildren.

Services were private. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 North Gaston Ave. Somerville.
